Join us the coming Wednesday, the 9th of June at 20.00 (Stockholm time) for an online #cryptoparty to discuss #messengers and #pricacy!
Ever wondered what data your messenger apps collect about you and what the data is being used for? Or how you could find alternatives that respect your privacy and return control over your data to back you? Then come join us! :)
Usually these events would be hosted in #Malmö, Sweden, but "thanks" to Covid-19 you can connect from anywhere online!
November's newsletter is out!
We learned about RepairCafes and other community-driven sustainability initiatives and discovered some other interesting things these past months that we'd like to share with you:

We finally again have another event coming up! Next week, on "black friday", Nov. 27th 17.30, we are joined by Jessika from RepairCafe/Lund University and are going to talk about our every-day electronics: their life-cycle, environmental impact and (lack of) repairability. We want to figure out: what can we as consumers do to improve the sustainability of electronic devices?

Our first newsletter is online!
We have had fun taking part in a Tor workshop organized by TechLearningCollective and started looking deeper into the (broad) subject of "tech & sustainability". Around either subject we would like to organize events in the near future -- let us know if you are interested in taking part!
More on this and some further reading recommendations that we've enjoyed can be found on our website: https://criticaltech.se/posts/newsletter-september20/
Very sad to see and definitely a set back for the motion of repairing and thus sustainable, long-lasting tech devices.
A small business owner from Norway has taken up the battle with Apple and after 3 years lost it… He now needs to cover his own legal cost, plus the ones from Apple (USD 23,000). If you want to support him, he has a crowdfunding campaign (see below)! #righttorepair
