(2/5) … That's right: we've paid over US$1.5 million in each of 2020 & 2021 directly to developers for software development work on FOSS! We've handled funding of over US$3million in direct project funding during the pandemic! (3/5) … Our Outreachy & Institute for Computing in Research projects had two groups of interns, providing opportunities for over 150 people to contribute to FOSS projects! We are finding, mentoring and training the next generation of FOSS maintainers!

Our Godot project had 2 huge releases this year. With large changes to GUI and usability, funding 8 full-time and 2 part-time developers that we distributed this year not only sustained the Godot project, but helped it thrive and grow.

(4/5) … Our Reproducible Builds project operates on the forefront of the “software supply chain” — having created the best known tools for reproducibility of software builds. We sustained funding for 2 full-time & 2 part-time developers during 2021 to continue this essential work.
Our phpMyAdmin project has been going strong for more than 20 years! We fund 3 developers regularly in 2021 & we've funded 8 different developers since 2006 to maintain the software. That's long-term FOSS sustainability!
