@conservancy @paoloredaelli I don't think it is correct to say they are considering to end copyright assignment to the FSF, they are simply making it non mandatory for the developers to assign the copyright to FSF https://gcc.gnu.org/pipermail/gcc/2021-June/236182.html in their words they are relaxing the requirements , or are you talking about something else?
