@codeberg You know, people I knew in tech were sounding the alarm years before the Cambridge Analytica scandal and regular folks just rolled their eyes and walked away. I always knew it was just a matter of waiting for the average citizen to feel the effects, but now the question is whether there is the potential to restore some stability. I just finished reading an article about how theCatholic Church systematically broke large clan/family networks and instilled more individuality into Western culture. Even with the decline of religious influence, the changes appear irrevocable. Will the social media influence be the same? We'll see...
