@bigzaphod yeah I’m fine with transparency everywhere else. Tried it & didn’t like it. No one design decision has caused me this much stress as I have to keep running apps to update my wallpaper to put a dark bar at the top, every time I change it 😓

@bigzaphod honestly at this point I just want my opaque menu bar back. I'm so surprised more people haven't complained about it. I made the choice to turn on dark mode, I wish Apple would respect that and always make my menu bar black/dark regardless of whatever wallpaper choice I make

I completely forgot how ridiculously small these iPod touches are. Also I got one when like iOS 5 was new (idk I don’t remember exactly) and the packaging for the one that arrived today looks identical to the one from years ago.

It’s absurd how much faster my M1 Pro MBP is at importing my A7RIV Raw files over the 16 inch Intel MBP. Even with the M1 MBP on battery, and the Intel plugged in, it’s no contest.

@millenomi yeah all of this package updating isn’t easy. I was just thinking of the Swift by Sundel podcast where someone was mentioning a nice future for swift could be being able to pull in bug fix updates for these libraries on the fly

That feeling in Destiny 2 when you start working your way through that multi boss public event in Witch Queen and someone comes along and helps you and you work well together and beat the event.

Had no idea the mastodon social site published a semi official iOS app until I revisited the site today

Trying to get better at Hitman. To unlock a costume I re did “The Final Test” (one of the first levels from the original game) and did it Silent Assassin + Suit only in about 3 minutes. I'd like to thank hostux.social for hosting my previous Mastodon account, and for being gracious enough to give me plenty of time and notice before shutting down. In combination with mastodon account migration this has been one of the easiest transitions I've ever done.
