Apparently the EU has a strict new regulation requiring a license to export any COVID vaccine from its borders. That means Switzerland is impacted and will be a hurdle to procuring more. Also, the regime to get am export license is progressive: it is harder to get an export license if a destination country's relative vaccination level is better than the EU. So Switzerland has to do as poorly as or as worse as the EU whole, to get a delivery licensed.

@cj I understand why they did it (the UK not exporting back to them) but as always it's 'side effects' make the whole policy a lot more murky.

@MatejLach UK not exporting back to us and the US just buying everything doesn't help either...

@cj to my knowledge Switzerland is considered part of Europe for that. It's only not part of Europe officially but it is matter of factly
