Following's feed at the time of US elections is unsettling. The amount of daily new politics-related hoaxes is absurd, and they are so predictable, repetitive and superficial, it almost feels like they are being generated by some kind of bot.
Interestingly, 99% of them is aimed at discrediting one specific side, and focused on one specific person.
Anyway, it feels like reality is matching the type of dystopic fiction I'd read or watch years ago.

"Often injustice lies in what you aren't doing, not only in what you are doing."

_Years_ ago, I wish someone had seen my paper copy of 'What Colour [sic] Is Your Parachute?', just walked up to me and paraphrased this quote. After learning how to learn, learning mastery has to be _the_ key life skill.

"A better motto for most youth [than 'Follow your bliss'] is 'Master something, anything.' Through mastery... you can drift towards extensions... that bring you more joy, and eventually discover where your bliss is."

Day 72 of the #100DaysToOffload Series:

I've been living at work for the last four months, and I need that to stop.

My internet hiatus was so intense that when cloudflare accidentally turned off half of the internet, I didn't even notice.

I do feel nervous about going out.
I don't necessarily think we are ready.

I am very productive working from home, and I don't miss the long commute, but I am actually happy to go back to the office tomorrow.
Also I am very thankful I can go by car rather than travel on the really crowded, terrible train I used when I was commuting before the lockdown.

Tomorrow is my 1st day back to the office after 3 months working from home. It'll also be the 3rd time I leave the house in 3 months, and the 1st time I stay away for more than 2 hours.

I love this quote and I strongly believe in it, but unfortunately, I have to unpin it because it is a misquote.

#linux #gnu #freesw: I wish all join Mastodon.

The weekend started, meaning it is time to farm some minerals in my island.

*Finally* Animal Crossing New Horizons is in my hands and in my Switch!
I called my island Solace (from the Dragonlance books), and I have cherries! And a debt with Nook, of course.

The sad story of how I am still not playing Animal Crossing...
A friend bought it for me as a present in February, so I got a card saying the game would come.
Then lockdown happened, and I was fighting anixety, but thought: "AC is coming soon!"
Except this friend had the package shipped to the office. :blobcat:
I am are home. And AC is sitting at the office by itself.
This story is only half sad though, because I am still lucky enough to have friends who gift me with awesome games for my birthday.

I am new, so here is an introduction:

I live in Italy, I have been working in the videogames industry for a long time and I love my job.

I always loved tech just as much as I love art, tea, cats, books, D&D, and heavy metal.

I care about equal rights for all humans, sustainability, and people above profit.

Manjaro Linux is my main and only OS.

My favourite game I worked on is Control. Favourites I haven't worked on are Dragon Age and Animal Crossing.
