Ok after playing around with it for a few days, I have to say, Minidisc was the perfect media to replace cassette tapes, it’s too bad it only got popular late in the physical media era…

Recording to them is a piece of cake, you can modify/reorder the tracks _after_ recording them, sound quality is nearly as good as CD (if not equal in most circumstances), they’re tiny, they don’t run the risk of getting snagged into your player because you didn’t clean it, wow/flutter are inexistent, the list goes on…

Feeling mildly annoyed at manufacturers insistence in labelling battery capacity in *thousands* of *milli*-Ampere/hour. THAT’S JUST “5Ah” YOU DIMWITS

Instead of “metaverse”, lets just call it “miiverse for business”

Maybe I should use the shitty Type 1 tapes I got recently as test subjects to learn how to splice tapes better, my splices sound like shit.

Had my Pioneer tape deck with the lid screws removed next to my desk for months because it had been acting up from time to time. I thought I had fixed everything so put it back together and placed it back on my stereo shelf. First tape I played afterwards got eaten by the pickup capstan. Great.

Seriously, the Chrome team just landed a patch that lets sites block "View Source" _right in the middle_ of the Chrome Dev Summit.


Oh I won that eBay auction… I guess I own a minidisc player/recorder now.

So Reddit, Twitter, and Discord are all working on *spits on the ground* NFTs now. What a load of barnacles…
