To all the snarky β€œcheese grater” commenters: Sorry but you’re 16 years late :thinkerguns:

Here it is, the first release candidate of Telephant 0.1:

Static binaries for Linux & Windows are ready to download! Arch users can simply install "telephant-git" from the AUR.

Packages for other Linux distros and a macOS binary will follow soon!

Dear fellow Berliners: When is the floating tree shit season going to be over? Please don't tell me it lasts the whole summer…

I am aware of some issues affecting people logging in to both Mastodon and Pleroma accounts on Mastonaut. I’m hoping to upload a fix soon. I’m sorry for the issue.

Helm: Captain, sensors are showing the punditry have set the rhetoric around their WWDC expectations to β€œunattainable”!

Captain: All hands, brace for post-keynote backpedaling episodes!

Is this working? (There should be a Mastodon emoji here: ➑️:blobcat:⬅️

I’m hoping this won’t remove my ability of syncing my own music to my iPhone, but I have the strong suspicion it will…

Currently busy with this: (Also added a screen shot for peeps who can’t see the video)

It seems in Germany you can only buy yogurt that’s too thick to drink or as thin as milk. There’s no in-between. What the hell??

Just because a bunch of other 3rd party Mac apps break system UX in favor of their own crap doesn’t mean I have to do the same. πŸ™„ I’ve just uploaded a new build to the App Store. Hopefully this one will fix your crash. πŸ˜… I’ll let you know once it is out.

The issue is that some cells used a width:height aspect ratio constraint, while others used height:width constraints. If many cells like that were next to each other, this flip-flop of h:w and w:h constraints would cause an infinite layout recalculation loop.

Moral of the story: when using aspect-ratio constraints, pick one orientation (such as width:height) and stick to it.

I just fixed a mysterious crash in Mastonaut that was, once again, caused by aspect-ratio constraints. This one took me almost 3 hours of continuous debugging.

Version 1.0.1 of Mastonaut is uploading now. It fixes a few isolated crashes; the window placement in all desktops issue; and a few other annoyances.

It's time for Toot! v1.8!

The big news this time is that there is finally a dedicated iPad interface, which is designed to use space a bit better, and allow more comfortable control.

In smaller updates, there is also now a switch to open all links in Safari, and if you long-press the action buttons on toots, you can perform them from different accounts.

It seems some instances are using custom emojis in SVG, and this causes a crash on Mastonaut due to SVGKit only supporting drawing on the main thread.

If anyone is aware of such an instance, and would like to throw some SVG emojis at me so I can test my fix, please feel free!
