How can it be that in this year of our lord 2022 where we have instantaneous satellite communications and portable supercomputers, educated people born in the last 30 years cannot understand that you press the up-arrow call button when you want the elevator to go up and the down-arrow call button when you want the elevator to go down??? Can people really be this stupid??? /rant

Addendum: And also to have the AUDACITY to say “huh” when the elevator door opens and the seemingly magical voice inside the cabin say “going down” when they, oh audience you won’t believe this, intended to go the other direction.
