"Be careful with that thing, it's a confidential coffee maker"
A cute tale from the early days of OS/2 development and the clash of cultures between Microsoft and IBM:
@brion Well, that IBM security wasn't on display in Singapore. At the time, I was a member of a local OS/2 users group, and we visited the local IBM office for a OS/2 presentation. One of the terminals in the IBM office was left unlocked with a root account. 🙂
@brion That does sound like a typical microsoft response to a potential issue - cover it up and mark it confidential.
