It wasn't until I reposted two memes that I realised Mastodon creates a notification for each and every boost and star. I... may stop doing that.
@bobstechsite Have you been boosted by @Gargron yet? When that happens, (and its a gooder of a toot) you get notifications that flow up past the 1/2 way point of your desktop screen for 2 hours steady 😂
You can tweak the notifications settings and dial it back, but I find the "Gargron" effect to be super amusing.
