I think we more conversations like this in the cryptocurrency space. The cryptocurrency space needs smart regulation, and has a long way to go to be a viable currency, and will never replace fiat currency. At the same time blockchain, smart contracts and the cryptocurrency space to have something of value to offer the world.

Dear Fediverse,

I love to teach. I’m also a Software Developer. I want transition to teaching Software Development topics. Things like building Big Data pipelines or Information Security for app developers. I also need to make money off of these classes.

I am looking for ideas or platforms to start publishing these classes in a way that is realistically monetizable. E.g a live stream on an Owncast instance? Or publishing on PeerTube and Patreon?

Any suggestions?

What we are able to say online should not be more limited than what we can say in public. Don’t let a change in media become a opportunity to erode our basic rights.

"that's not my job" is a complete disregard for being part of a team or an organization. No work is beneath you.

*this does not mean you have to do every task you're asked*: "I can't say no" is *also* a complete disregard for being part of a team or an org. Not everything is a good use of your time and energy 1/…

Rewatching "We Steal Secrets". Regardless of your opinion on Assange, we need more organizations like WikiLeaks to show the Publix what is being decided on their behalf behind closed doors.

People are concerned that #Mastodon admins can read their DMs.

Folks, should we tell them about Yahoo Mail, Gmail or even telecom companies like AT&T and Verizon, which are thousands of times worse when sent via SMS?

If you want true DM messaging, go to a much encrypted messaging system like #XMPP or #Matrix.
