I recently learned how much software is pre-installed on GitHub Actions workers. I'm a fan of the `setup-xxx` workflow patterns, so I always assumed that the workers were lean. Boy, was I wrong.

@GwenfarsGarden These days, I only tend to buy printed copies of books where there's something aesthetically appealing about the physical artefact, or where I can get it 2nd hand / cheaper than ebook. I've still got heaps of paper books that I've acquired over the years to work through, mind.
My local library system has a really good selection of ebooks these days, so I've read a fair amount of stuff in the last year through that too.
Seems like a good day to remind you:

It'd be a shame if this "Windows 10 only" emojo started popping up elsewhere.
This is a super important study done by true experts in this field. In 2018, OSS contributed between €65 and €95 billion to the 🇪🇺’s economy. At a minimum, that’s the equivalent of the entire GDP of Luxembourg Thanks @mirkoboehm@twitter.com @KnutBlind@twitter.com @andrewjskatz@twitter.com

Call of Cthulhu: It's a book of great evil!
Me: Atlas Shrugged?
CoC: Near unreadable in its rambling, incoherent diatribe of horror!
Me: Atlas Shrugged.
CoC: Those who read it becomes monsters dedicated to the torment of humanity!
Me: Yeah, that's Atlas Shrugged.

I just recently realised, that proprietary social networks are not social networks but entertainment networks. That's why at least my friends have a hard time switching to mastodon or pixelfed. People expect to be highly entertained the first second they enter the network and kept that way all the time. Being confronted with a network that is stripped from all these addictive tools is a massive cultural clash.
