I'm working on a daily tool that'll show how much money @blackaf earns (income, grants, incoming donations) and spends (outgoing donations, expenses, bills) to continue the provable trend that independent work can be sustainable _and_ that F/LOSS can be supported in this fashion.
A bit of a status update on work this month:
* #Fortress is getting a face-lift of its detection of h-cards so it'll be more accurate.
* #Koype is entering a heavy bug-fixing mode and its CI system is being locked down.
* The landing site is being re-built to highlight Patreon contributors (been punting on this for some time)
I'll be updating the Patreon followers over at http://patreon.com/jackyalcine with more updates (that'll be the place until a more solid bridge is in place).
Finally working on my #IndieAuth solution called Fortress! It'll live under the @blackaf collection of services. There's a few things I'm hoping to have it support #Fediverse services that expose OAuth2 provider logic!
#Liberapay is a libre alternative to Patreon. It lets you donate a regular amount of money to your favourite project every week, month or year.
The official website is at:
You can follow them on here at:
The site itself is paid for by donations made to it through Liberapay.
Happy New Year, fediverse!
Here’s to working towards more freedom, justice, and equality in 2019. It’s not going to get any easier. It’s probably going to get harder. All that matters is we keep chipping away at the problem and working on the solutions. Every little thing we do, whether it’s raising awareness or reducing harm or creating ethical alternatives… it all matters.
Heck, the fact I can write this on the fediverse is reason enough to be hopeful.
Lots of love to you all
Good PST morning #fediverse!
Last night, I pushed out http://koype.net/ - a splash page to garner interest from those who've been following @jalcine's progress on the project thus far. The goal is to make a hub to make it simple for people to start using Koype; as simple as signing up for a silo (http://indieweb.org/silo) but with one caveat - from day ONE; you own ALL of your data (http://indieweb.org/ownyourdata).
Sign up for release info at https://koype.net/!

Going to spend the rest of today finishing up some proposals for @blackaf and then working on mockups for a bunch of projects.
Trying to avoid touching code; need to give my brain a reset.
I have some bandwidth for @blackaf to take on smaller paid (like two-week to a month-long) Web projects with #Elixir, #JavaScript / #Node or #Python work! Sync up at https://black.af/intake.
Alright. More information about this in the morning (PST) about this site https://koype.net/. Expect general communications about it to be over at @blackaf - going to move my "efforts" under the company so I can properly (hopefully) delegate tasks to other people.
2019 is going to bring some interesting works from this agency.
As mentioned in @jalcine's Patreon post; #Koype will have a hub that those who want to provide Koype-as-a-service in the most ideal format. Expect more on that soon.
An initial call-for-testers is coming for #ActivityDesk, a native #Qt #ActivityPub client targeting F/LOSS environments.
Follow this account to stay informed about these moves.
@kensanata Please add me to Organisations, NGOs & Associations, Small Business Owners. #Trunk
