I'm watching This Is Us these days. Its very real and emotionally turbulent. Its surprisingly a lot scarier than Black Mirror but in a different way. Worth watching.

I've become very disillusioned with current sci-fi movies. They've become very commercial, short-sighted, dumbed-down, and do not tackle complex issues. They're not even fun. But the older ones are really amazing. I recommend the following to start with:

The Time Machine (1960)

2001 - A Space Odyssey (1968)

Silent Running (1972)

Soylent Green (1973)

Capricorn One (1978)

Starship Troopers (1987)

They say that Millennials have less sex. Yep. That's totally why I have no love life. I'm just being trendy... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Stan Lee may have played down contributions of co-creators and revised facts in his anecdotes with every re-telling.

But I won't deny that he still contributed to a large number of the heroes of our childhoods and our adult lives, and pushed the modern way of comic storytelling.

RT Stan Lee's legacy is undeniable โ€“ & undeniably complicated. His greatest collaborator, Jack Kirby, a greater visionary than Stan, became his bitterest foe. And yet he wasn't just an editor or a corporate overlord. My attempt at a messy, honest obit.

My spirits haven't been so low in a long time.

The last time I was in this place was in 2014, shortly before landing a contract to write graphics algorithms for Imoji, an American startup since acquired by Giphy, that was developing an app for stickers that they called imoji; image emojis.

When I have a job, I have a life.
When I like my job, I like my life.
When I hate my job, I hate my life.
When I lose my job, I lose my life.

I wish I had more than this, that I had a fuller life, that my career wasn't the only thing I have. Without a job, I'm a tramp at your door.

I just finished the Python Foundation Nanodegree program on Udacity.

Do you guys have any experience with getting jobs using Nanodegrees? Are they as recognized in the industry as I'm hoping they are?

Anybody else reading Yuval Noah Harari and getting scared of the choices we made?

I'm listening to a podcast with Sam Harris and Yuval Noah Harari. It's very depressing how much we understand about the world and how little seems to be changing.

"Facebook is detrimental to global discourse, has harmed democracies around the world, and, because of its dependence on advertising, has responded to criticism by making only minor, cosmetic changes. Mark Zuckerberg and his team will continue to allow the social network to be a haven for fake news, hoaxes, threats, and much, much worse. Itโ€™s gotten to the point that Zuckerberg said this summer that Holocaust deniers wonโ€™t be removed from the platform..."

A nice thing about Sweden compared to Spain is sunsets and sunrises last a lot longer, and no idea why, but they're absolutely beautiful!
