Happy #Equinox!
I have gotten really into #Qigong over the last five months. It has helped bring my eye pain under control. You can enjoy a free Qigong online summit for the next few days. https://QigongGlobalSummit.com

The developers of the #Mastodon appsneed to step up their #accessibility. I'll try to file a few issues but don't wait for me. Label those buttons! Let me know if you would like me to test any updates. Let's make Mastodon usable by everyone!
“I need to change some of my
behavior, and I want to apologize to the people that my personal
behavior hurt and possibly drove away from kernel development
entirely.”
I did not expect to see this kind of introspection from Linus Torvalds https://lkml.org/lkml/2018/9/16/167
@liz7 Hi Liz! Welcome to the party!
've decided to learn a functional programming language. I enjoyed #Lisp in college so have considered #Clojure and maybe a #Scheme dilect. Some friends have tried to conince me to go with #Elixir, especially because I already do a lot of work in #Ruby. I do appreciate the elegant Lisp syntax and its rich history.
Speaking of H/P/A, a friend triggered her work's firewall by trying to listen to this weird piece of audio from the Phone Losers of America. http://www.phonelosers.org/media/Relay_Operators_Summer_Nights.mp3

I have a meditation app in the works, so today's #AppleWatch announcement about improved heart rate monitoring interests me.
I touched up my #Jekyll home page. Now it has a more streamline design and features #Mastodon! https://AustinSeraphin.com #accessibility #ruby #linux #meditation #qigong

So, yet another amazing story sourced from this basket of delectables.
@lesschinski tooted about this event happening at the Science History Institute.
Then with her help I found out there was a really cool three-year project happening there, focused on visibility among STEM researchers with disabilities.

Thanks @fenwick67 for Mastofeed. It works perfectly on my #Jekyll blog.
Just opened a new GitHub issue on Mastodon: Allow moderation through API. https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/8580
My hope is that this can increase the effectiveness of moderators, which could help them better protect users against mobbing, harassment, or other bad acts.
