There is a faction in Fallout: New Vegas, called the "Boomers".

the fediverse is full of multiple factions and splinter cells, but there's always one constant: i never have any fucking idea what anyone is talking about

The other day I arrived back at my apartment building to find a series of haphazard signs taped up near the stairs. Taped up loose leaf written in highlighter. All caps.

“To the package thief! We’ve filed a police report! Blah blah.”

“If you can’t afford to live in NYC, leave!”

Really rotten stuff.

And by the time I’d retrieved a sharpie to deface the signs with “ok boomer”, someone had already taken them down. Probably the better move.

PROGRAMMER TIP: When running a query that process over a million rows of data, quietly say the programmer's prayer - "Hold on to your butts" - before hitting the execute button

good morning, for a hackathon project at work, I helped build a long-requested feature for our app: a log out button

being an engineer, I'm able to design some really visually compelling slides, too

don't even get me started on the missing support for Active Desktop

I remember Windows XP had this really cool feature where, upon shutting down the computer, a user could request OS updates be installed first, and then the computer would shut down.

made sense! right? like I've told you "hey I'm not planning to use the computer rn so, yeah, do that stuff

anyway, I guess macOS just doesn't want you shutting down your computer ever because they apparently haven't caught on yet
