got my first ever mechanical keyboard

so I got this keyboard and have now configured it and my typing is interrupting my wife's nap. She keeps looking frownier and frownier

@ashfurrow So what I'm hearing is you'll be treating her to you buying a full set of silenced Zealios so you can desoldier the current switches and replace them?

@ashfurrow I love that part of this movie.

But I wonder, does it make sense? Would a direct wiring of those nerves directly to some output port (to connect to an input port of some computer of course) might be much more sensible and efficient? Unless there's some danger in connecting yourself directly in that way, and physical access is still safer...
