Co-worker said "The more I learn about networking the angrier I get at every piece of technology around me." That's so fucking true it isn't funny.

The β€œKeep _______ Weird” crowd needs to learn that the way a place gets weird is by having cheap housing so people can work part time or not at all and still make rent.

This Sam Seder/Steven Crowder drama is delicious.

Seder is just completely gloves-off being "slanted media", because he doesn't take Crowser seriously, and fuck that guy.

... He's brought David Cross (a comedian) on as a body language expert (a total bullshit type of commentary), to break down "BDSM Body Language of Steven Crowder." I can't even, amazing.

how do I hook into the gnome notification system and run a script upon delivery?

@hackernews step 1 is literally "buy internet service from an ISP"...

It is not fair to shut down criticism in that way.

Wasting taxpayers money on stupid project like the tunnels, destroying nature-preserves and calling people slurs such as "pedo guy" just because he did not like the "solution" does really need to be criticized.

Elon deserves to be criticized.

We should abandon the designation Software Engineering and stick to programming or development, until the industry writes software to meet national safety and reliability standards that are enforced by a system of inspections of plans, the process and final code.

That's why engineering is so reliable - software development hasn't advanced to the level of engineering yet.

To anyone interested in the #Pinephone, or even the #Librem5 and #Linux #smartphones in general, we owe a huge debt of gratitude imo to #Megi.

He's not employed to do this, but donates hundreds of his own personal hours helping to get the hardware working, increase battery life (over and over) and generally make a huge amount of the smartphone progress we've seen, happen.

I'm personally extremely grateful and encourage everyone to donate at the bottom of his page here:

I think people have this assumption that people who suffer from anxiety are jibbering wrecks, or curled up in a ball in the corner of a room.

For me (and other people I know) you can look supremely confident on the outside but be anxious as hell on the inside. No-one would ever suspect.

The trouble is, it can stop you for going for things that you would be well-suited for because there's a gnawing feeling that you might fail.

I'm drunk. I am disappointed how social networks made many of us think that being good at defining problems somehow frees us from working on solutions. I don't want to be that person. I want to work on solutions. Maybe social networks aren't the place to find like minded people.

i have been thinking about the cryptocurrency nosedive this morning, and i'm not saying correlation necessarily equals causation here but please consider signing my change.org petition to have Bibi Netanyahu host SNL next week. πŸ€”βœ…
