I love Wallabag, I really do, but I think I’m using it wrong, because I’ve got 3000 items in mine and there’s no bulk operations and I’m not gonna learn PHP. So I’m gonna write my own PKMS.

Fediverse, please dissuade me.

Say what you will about Linux

I don't have advertisements in my file browser

So, you end-to-end encrypt everything so you're not responsible for what happens on your platform (saving lots of money for moderation). Then, you develop tools so you can still advertise based on content. That's ultimate #surveillancecapitalism 🤑🤑🤑

The Sun is just the right source for this wild, wild story: “Exorcist bishop, 52, steps down after ‘falling in love’ with author of satanic-themed erotic fiction”

uspol, student loans

Among its problems is the fact that it can’t be separated. Even after a divorce. Even now that that type of loan is no longer legal to offer. It financially binds a divorced couple in perpetuity, longer than children do.

And how would it ever change? The number of people entrapped in this predatory zombie loan is relatively small, and just getting older. (2/2)

Fringe sources have been whispering this since 2001 (see: Sibel Edmonds, who may or may not be reliable). And Beijing's also been claiming this.

Still: weird to see in print..

y'know we moved a few months back to an apartment across the street from a hotel that hasn't opened yet. And at night the lights are on in about half the rooms facing us. I can't imagine why. And it's just creepy. It's creepy.

Remember Proctorio? They're the "remote proctoring" company that boomed during the pandemic by promising that they could stop exam cheating through gross, discriminatory privacy invasions and snake-oil machine learning.

In case you've lost the thread (it's been a minute), Proctorio is a tool that transforms students' personal computers into surveillance tools.
