I start thinking that frontend devs dislike even more than backend devs. At least it feels so, because it requires a lot more effort to put types into almost-untyped JavaScript than there is profit it gives

Morning to everyone! I wish you are able to get outside whenever you need to 😁

Quarantine, Health

I feel a lot better today in the moning! I guess, I *must* go outside a bit more than I did before.

Quarantine, Health

Recently, I started feeling some strange changes in my health... It feels that during quarantine I became way less healthy and way more vulnerable to illnesses. Because for second week in a row I have random temperature raising up to 38°C and getting back to normal in an hour or without any drugs. All this with accidental headaches, weakness and strange feeling in the chest...

I think that it will take a lot of time for me to get back to normal state after quarantine ends.

You can travel easily through Tamriel using Oblivion planes (if you don't want to use fast travel).

I think I should make it possible to run Olifant on my Arch installation because I spend a bit more time lately using my awesomeWM build 🤔

Just to be onest, there are lots of things to improve, and they are basically work in progress. Feel free to give feedback via github issues or any other way: it is highly appreciated!

Rediscovering the Small Web

"Today's web is mostly commercial. The smaller web of individuals has neither the resources nor the will to compete for visibility and audience the way the commercial web does"

Another great post by @neustadt - welcome to Mastodon by the way, a part of the new small web!

I don't understand why someone would be against @unclebobmartin ? His books on programming are some of the best and most entertaining that I have read. He really puts what it means to be a professional back into our field.

Just got another email from a blind user of SourceHut thanking me for caring about accessibility in my work. And honestly, it wasn't difficult. I don't understand why my peers in web development seemingly couldn't give a rat's ass about accessibility. Maybe because at their level of complexity, to them "accessibility" means "a shitload of aira tags and a ton of work", whereas at my level of complexity it means "just keep it simple and don't do anything particularly stupid"

@liaizon hey, thanks for reaching out!

I'm a python/systens dev, with a plethora of experience in automation/devops as well as web dev. Id like to find projects that sit somewhere between web technology and network integration.

Especially if something has to do with networking. I love geeking out on networking stuff. Or music software.

I also have a personal mission to help projects meet accessibility standards where i can.

I like "git add -p". And totally recommend using it for splitting commits 😁

I am using smartphone and I charge it twice per week.

Yes, I am logged in into Google account.

No, it has not a huge battery. It's Galaxy A40.

I just use it only when I need it.

BTW, morning y'all. Have a particularly good day today 😁

Everyone on market seems to be trying so hard to achieve 100% of marketshare. Why don't they try to achieve a bit less, but make a better product for those people, who are they targeting at?
