Seriously: it has been common knowledge since AT LEAST a decade before *I* was born that you do not use telnet to talk to things that, well, aren’t. Yet I have seen no fewer than 5 toots here, in June of TWENTY FRICKIN NINETEEN that say this is a great idea.
I guess people don’t care to read the specs? They like working by happenstance?
Use a damned TCP client, FFS. The reasons why are nearly 50 years old! Not rocket science, people.
