Does anyone remember Yoper and MEPIS (Linux distros)? MEPIS is still around but it's not what it used to be. I really miss the days where devs really made distros stand out. Yoper was the fastest, had to compile almost every package from source. And MEPIS ran with great driver support and had one of the best live boot experiences โ it was my goto IT tool wayyyy back.
Fun times at work:
Listening to a conversation a few cubicles down from me and I hear this person is having issues with their new linux install (brand new to linux from Windows).
He posted on Stackoverflow and pasted someones "answer" into bash. It was a curl command to download a .SH file.
Now every time he boots his system Rick Rolls him at login screen.
