2019 has been an amazing year for me.
Here's to a fantastic 2020 for all of us.
@deshipu I'm not proposing any system. I'm saying: the way we look at a Kanban Board, tickets, etc is flawed.
A feature is more than a set of tasks
Software is more than a bunch of tickets
@deshipu Tickets are great for customer support and handling bugs.
For building features, they are inadequate in my experience.
Keep in mind that in the whole Agile lingo, a ticket is a User Story, which is value delivered to the end user. It's not a set of tasks.
For a programmer, it might be a To Do list.
For a project manager all tickets might represent the scope.
For a software developers it can get confusing.
A ticket goes from To Do to Done and can never move back. With all our talks of “Lean” and “agility”, our progress model seems to resemble … a waterfall.
It's never that simple.
I'm a big fan of small teams. What they lose in sheer horse-power, they make up in efficiency.
But a question the small-team proponents like myself have to answer is: when is a team too small?
Most techies seem to want to insulate themselves from them, but office politics are not optional.
