@Lofenyy I wish I could help with that, but I rarely stay booted into postmarketOS for that long.
Standard Configs. I use the "edge" version. I can get about 24+ hours on standby. Not used as daily driver so full use is unknown, I suspect (hope) it would last 10 - 12 hours.
@Horizon_Innovations Strange. My phone is all standard configs too and is running the edge branch, yet I can't seem to squeeze more than 8.5 hours out of it on standby with zero usage.
I might re-flash and try again.
I get more out of arch!
I'll boot into postmarketos again & see how it goes.
This was a fairly new build using their build script, installed to the emmc.
@Horizon_Innovations Mine was much the same except installed in October I think. I'll be sure to give it another try.
@Horizon_Innovations I reflashed it and now my issues are solved!
Cool. Glad it's sorted.
I'm still using the stock Ubuntu Touch, which seems like it's not being maintained.
Is PostmarketOS better?
@emacsen In some ways yes, in others no. I like it for its software availability, but I made this poll because I can't seem to squeeze more than 8.5hrs from it.
@emacsen Update: Reflashing did the trick!
@Lofenyy not quite.. depends on usage but over average I think about 2-3 hours
@stux Hey, thanks for letting me know! Just to give you a heads up, I managed to squeeze far more battery life out of this thing by reflashing my image. My guess is that the crust firmware on older images is defective.
@Lofenyy i get to around 5 hrs or so

@Lofenyy If I leave the phone alone, I'll get over 12 hours with Phosh on Manjaro. The suspend feature seems to work quite well on it but I'm not sure how well it reacts when getting a call while suspended, which is the current tradeoff
@Lofenyy Update: I called it from another phone and immediately got the voicemail. It does not wake up automatically.
@trebach Interesting, it sounds like both of our issues could be related to crust firmware.
My crust probably isn't even installed, giving me bad battery life but good response from the modem
Your crust is installed and working, but without waking-from-modem.
@Lofenyy I reflashed with Beta 2 (was on Beta 1) and the phone woke up in about 4 rings. I'll charge it before bed, unplug it, and see if it's still on (and if it'll respond) in the morning
@trebach I wrote a script to monitor battery charge over time. I just don't have the script with me right now, or I'd give you a copy.
@Lofenyy It went to voicemail on the first ring but would have woken up on the second or third ring. I was looking at it at the time. The battery dropped from 89% to 77% overnight but charging is glacially slow with my current charger (<2W)
@trebach I fixed my issues by reflashing my software!
@Lofenyy If you flashed with the "megi" kernel, then your battery won't go above 89% charge. Turns out this is intentional as a safety feature
@trebach I definitely have the Megi kernel installed. My issue was how quickly it discharges though. My guess was that the crust firmware on my previous install was defective, meaning that my phone never suspended when the screen was locked, so all applications were running at full throttle all the time.
