A new record: I’m now following -2 people on Twitter.

Ever since I unfollowed everyone – why? For my peace of mind… see –Twitter’s lost the plot. Today it showed me following two people. When I clicked through, it was four. Unfollowed them and…

(If they’re messing this up, what else are they messing up while filtering and moderating your reality and analysing and categorising you?)

We've set up a site to inform users about current stock levels, estimated availability and to relay shipping information. Currently in testing.

Check it out:

I'd be grateful to hear how people are adding icons to websites 🤔 Would directly help me with something I'm working on.

Comments and boosts welcome! 🙇

@aral Or, if you want to have hardware: Turs a raspberry PI into an RTMP receiver that can feed directly into the ATEM Mini via HDMI. Really cool stuff!

Clean up the web!

Developers, it’s time for you to choose a side: will you help rid the web of privacy-invading tracking or be complicit in it?

I wonder if there's a way to get nginx to send it for every website it serves, w/o editing each config?
I'm sure they'll break this in time anyhow.

You can use DNS over HTTPS with IVPN for iOS 2.3.0, out now. Option 1 is to enable HTTPS or TLS protocol for your Custom DNS settings. Option 2 is to configure a custom DNS over HTTPS server to be used when there is no VPN connection. Or you can do both.

This option is only available with OpenVPN or WireGuard protocols and with iOS 14 or later installed.

More about this change here:

We have published a tool called 'Do I need a VPN?' to help people decide if they would benefit from using a commercial VPN. If anyone you know is unsure whether they need one, we can help resolve their questions:

Do I need a VPN is open source. You can review the decision tree and all end states and submit issues on GitHub if you have improvements in mind.

An independent security audit of all IVPN apps conducted by Cure53 has concluded. For details of the audit and full results refer to this announcement post:

Cure53 report in full:

Just like before, we commit to undergo annual security audits, where the focus will be on the parts of our infrastructure and apps that we believe to be the most important.

If you want better privacy online, use a VPN, but don’t expect perfect protection - no matter what certain services promise.

We explore this issue in the next post of the blog series about our industry:

IVPN for Android v.2.2.0 is out today on our website and in the Play Store. Similarly to the iOS app, we have added: 2FA support for login, certificate pinning to help prevent man-in-the-middle attacks and an improved Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
