@zladuric i Dont think so. Europe tried in the Last decades and they could not compete since china opended their economy. Europe could subsidize such industries with big money if they would and if they would ne allowed to do (WTO). Of the EU could Save that Money and subsidize new technologies like they Plan to with the green new Deal.

@zladuric Why should there be more? Its about corporations they do stuff for reason/money. Not because it would be cool to have a national CPU. Under the line its old Money that keeps the new Economy Running.

@zladuric germany is Bad in digitalisation but remember that germany is the country that builds the machines that builds the CPUs. And the fabs. And such R&D.

@zladuric R&D could compete but a Licensing Business Model like ARM has it is a very very niche industry. Its about platforms and the winner Takes it all. Like X86 the Last 30 years and ARM in their Niche since they were founded in the 80ies (or early 90ies?). Impossible to challange them. RISCV can challange but only because its Open Source.

@zladuric It was not all that bad a couple of years ago. Siemens was a player back in the days and ARM was a UK company. Nowadays Siemens IPOed Infenion and they sold some relevant parts (like Cellular modems subsidary first to Intel than to Apple) and so on. AMD had a big fab in Dresden. Everything gone because its impossible to compete is such industries where quality is not as important as quantity for scaling effects. Impossible to compete with Asia.

@zladuric right. Because the glowing clock seems nicer mimicking the moon ๐ŸŒ

@hansw @zladuric 10 years ago with their budget and their criticality? Yes definitly ๐Ÿง๐Ÿ˜… The Best of the best, sir. ๐Ÿค

@hansw @zladuric for a hashed password? Must be an awesome hash function because it would be crazy to store it un- hashed/crypted in 2020. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Is this โ€žsolidโ€œ thing really a thing or just another hype-buzzword-decentralized-beyond-cloud-tech-bubble bullshit proposals because someone finally needs more money?

So I failed reading my own documentation to make a couple of API calls. But at least I found some errors in the docs. :awesome:

Well I meant three years since last update. The project is actually already about ten years old.

Uh wow, was working on a very old project today (three years old already) and it was terrible. Full of bad concepts. So ugly. Brrrrrr. Ich don`t even understand it anymore.

surge.sh is so simple I am still searching the catch. Maybe I should host some of my statics there, to try it out and get a better insight. Anyone with surge.sh experience?
