The Twitter CEO thinks either Twitter is no critical service, or should be open-sourced. Yes. Don't believe it? Quote:

"I trust Signal because it’s well built, but more importantly, because of how it’s built: open source, peer reviewed, and funded entirely by grants and donations. A refreshing model for how critical services should be built."

Jack Dorsey
CEO of Twitter and Square

@IzzyOnDroid wow that's surprizing to hear from the #Twitter ceo. It's important to point out that despite those superficial points, Signal is littered with serious issues and should be avoided: github.com/privacytoolsIO/priv

@aktivismoEstasMiaLuo I wouldn't *endorse* it either. But it's still way better than the-app-you-should-not-name 😜

What makes you think that? It's merely following a textbook so-called organic #marketing approach.

Make no mistake: if #Whatsapp would have been created today, this is exactly what it would look like.

Btw, note that the previous incarnation of #Signal was sold to… #Twitter. 🙂

@0 @IzzyOnDroid @aktivismoEstasMiaLuo I seriously doubt it: Signal cannot access message metadata, they don't even know who you're talking to... that makes it useless for entities like FB

@IzzyOnDroid I wonder how so many people can still believe that Signal is good or respects their privacy.So many big anti-privacy people speaking for Signal should make you think about their real goals.
