Look at this little beauty I just got in the mail! Can't wait to put it together! ✨🛠 🛠✨
You are moving the gears in my nerdy heart #Framework!⚙️💚
Placing back the cables for the WiFi antenna properly was the “trickiest” part but was still pretty easy. Well, we’ll see if I get a validating later on… the instructions were very well done: https://twitter.com/frameworkputer/status/1433320060429373440
Ok! #Framwork Laptop all filled with sweet parts now!
What ports config to start with?🤔
I think I’m going start with 3x USB-C and 1x USB-A for now. Aww the pleasure of true choice 😌✨
The #Framework Adventure continues!💻✨
Ok so, after a very long reflection to pick a good computer name (it deserves it), I’ve decided to go completely ridiculous and setup an HEXABOOT !! ⎔ ⎔
I mean, why pick only 1 Linux distro when you could have 6?
That’s my main argument anyhow.
#Framework Adventure News ⚙️💻👇
I haven't installed any OS on my Framework Laptop yet, but I briefly ran a live usb of Elementary OS and here's a few things I can report:
1. Display is GORGEOUS. Seriously impressed. I'm used with Apple's Retina displays and I could not see the difference. I'll report further once I had a chance to watch media
2. Overall construction quality is undeniable. The aluminum body is beautiful and on par with Macbooks
3. Keyboard is comfortable and touchpad responsive
Framework Adventure Update ⚙️💻👇
For those who were following this and my Hexaboot project I apologize for the delay. I had a few unexpected projects that came up and had to prioritize in the past weeks.
However, this is still ongoing and in my Summer plans!
Stay tuned! But not like immediately tuned 😉🛠✨
@Em0nM4stodon I've played with my partner's FW, and feel the same way. Did you get the 11th or 12 gen Intel in it? I'm thinking about getting one, but an waiting until the 12th is more available.
@murph Amazing!😊 I got the DIY 11th gen. I couldn't wait for the 12th and 11th is likely more than enough for everything I will need. It's really an amazing laptop so far! I'll try to put weird setups on it 😁
@Em0nM4stodon if you open a MS Sidewinder Precision Pro Joystick base, you can see on the inside several staff autograms scratched in the housing die casting mold.
@Em0nM4stodon I've seen a few laptops and all in ones with sliders for the camera. Not seen mic switches before. I usually use software settings.
That's a neat move.
