SBC#0 main board now fully populated.
Sanity checked the address decoding by matching measured pulse durations of /ROM, /RAM, /IO and the 8 individual IO select lines against calculated - all within range. ✅
(Simulated the actual logic of it in Digital before building it so hopefully no surprises here once I start to actually consume these signals... 😅)
For any trans people who need to hear this:
Your body is beautiful. You're worthy of being desired, if that's something you want.
Whether you choose to transition (and in whatever direction you want), and wherever you are in that process -- you're seen, you are believed, and I'm proud to be your sibling.
When you look in the mirror, you deserve to hear, "Hey, Beautiful." If you don't hear it in your voice, hear it in mine.
Your strength is incredible. You come from a long tradition of transgender people, stretching back to the earliest days of humanity.
Let the haters shout into the void. You don't need to. The Void already loves you. ✨

Old Floppy Drives
Half tempted to scoop em up just to save them from the landfill. Auction ends tomorrow night. I’ll keep an eye on it.
Old Floppy Drives
Anyone familiar with these MPI disk drives? These are on a local auction site and no one has bid on them yet. I have zero use for them, but they might be kinda neat to own as a display piece. No idea what kind of computer they came from or if they are worth anything, #retrocomputing
Okay, it's time to tell new users a secret about Mastodon.
Mastodon is (whispers) part of a much bigger network 😮
Mastodon servers use an open standard called ActivityPub to talk to each other. That's how you interact with people on other Mastodon servers.
But, dozens of other federated networks also use ActivityPub, so (this is the good bit!) you can follow people on these other networks from your Mastodon account!
Together, Mastodon and these other services form... The Fediverse
(whispers) Click on the link...
For example, here's mine:
I remember how a decade ago used to support RSS feeds for users. They killed it because that's not monetizable, or something. 🤷♀️
Well, fedi don't care. RSS is great for read-only following public stuff.
Gaming/Animation/Retro Tech/DIY Electronics/Mechanical Keyboard enthusiast. I like Ska!
This Mastodon instance is for people interested in technology. Discussions aren't limited to technology, because tech folks shouldn't be limited to technology either!
