It is harder, more complex, more fun, doesn't track you and you can play it on any device that has a camera: It's called #WildLifePhotography.
Or if you don't have any such device try WildLifeDrawing instead, which the former is a fork of.

It lets you contribute data to open street map by walking around the city and noting down the type of roads, speed limits, accessibility features in restaurants/shops, names of streets and lots of other stuff

@timokoesters doesn't OSMAnd have a OSM editor plugin? I'm pretty sure I remember using it while offline

Only for simple data like POIs, their tags and OSM notes. You can't edit roads at all.
