My father-in-law just gifted me an ivory set that he picked up in Hokaido, Japan, in 1950.

It's gorgeous. The attention to detail is incredible. I'm very moved that he would gift it to me.

It feels a little weird to own an ivory set. I'll be donating to a non-profit that fights against ivory poaching.

Whoop, that *his* father picked up in Hokaido. My father-in-law is not in his 90s.

@Argus i would totally keep it as an heirloom.. maybe write a story that a non profit can share.
