When I started work this morning I didn't expect I would spend hours trying to fix the template variables in emails translated into urdu.

The right button on my Logitech M570 has been dying for a while.
Bought a replacement switch and tried to replace it over the weekend.

Unfortunately I made a right pigs ear of getting the old switch of the circuit board, and managed to remove the copper pad from the circuit board, completely breaking the right click. 😭

I really need to get better at de-soldering!

On the plus side I get to try the Kensington orbit now.

I think I finally found what was causing random ruby processes to send my macbook into fan whirring apoplexy.

I started my new job at Raspberry Pi foundation yesterday.

I am happy :)

I finally finished my Ergodox build :blobaww:

Now for the adjustment period and weeks of tinkering with key layout 🤣

Managed to solder the IO Expander the wrong way round in my Ergodox 😢

Then while desoldering and placing it the correct way I managed to break off one of the pins 😭

My case arrived today and now I’m starting to make some real progress 😀

Whenever I try and type python it always comes out as pythong.

Just finished watching Altered Carbon on Netflix and really enjoyed it.

It does seem like if people had incremental, redundant backups of themselves most of the story doesn't happen though 😂

So the major takeaway from Altered Carbon is:
Have a decent backup strategy.
